Originally from Paris, Valérie was introduced to painting and modelling from a young age. She then worked for over ten years as a dental prosthetics ceramist, first in France and then in Germany. Building on her training and her background in craftsmanship and the arts, she turned her attention to jewellery design, sculpture and painting following the birth of her four children. Trained in metalwork, wax sculpture and small-scale ceramics, she also creates larger-scale works, executed with the same high standards and the same attention to materials and forms. Her studio in Munich is where ideas take shape, sometimes slowly, through sketches and discussions with the client, sometimes in a single decisive session. Every object that leaves the studio is a unique piece. Valérie also collaborates with the Curt Wills Foundation as an exhibition curator within her studio space. She has also created the bronze award presented annually by the foundation to winning artists.
